Students will also perform and experiment using radioactive materials and determine a substance's half-life. They will personally operate a scanning electron microscope to examine integrated circuits and construction of materials (MATSE) and use an x-ray diffractometer to analyze the composition of unknown materials. Students will learn the basics of electron microscopy, x-ray emission, and radioactive decay. ID Tech also offers iD Tech Camps (for ages 7-17), iD Programming Academy (for teens), iD Game Design & Development Academy (for teens), and iD Tech Mini (half/full day for ages 6-9).Įngineering Physics: Rarified ExplorationĪ program for high school students with an interest in engineering.
